Dr. Chris Baryomunsi Launches@Kanungu Exress TV Village-to-Village Campaigns in Kinkizi East The Kinkizi East Member of Parliament, who is also the Minister of ICT and National Guidance and NRM Vice Chairperson for Western Uganda, Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, has officially launched his village-to-village campaign rallies as he seeks re-election for a fifth term (2025–2031). The campaign kicked off this morning at Kanungu Resort Hotel, where he was warmly welcomed by hundreds of supporters. He then held rallies at Rubimbwa Playground, Kirima Sub-county Headquarters, and Bushura Parish grounds. Thousands of jubilant supporters, clad in yellow T-shirts, reflectors, and waving banners, escorted him in a large convoy of vehicles and boda bodas. Addressing the crowds, Hon. Baryomunsi thanked the people of Kinkizi East for their unwavering trust and support over the years. He promised to continue working hard to improve lives in the constituency, highlighting priorities such as extending electricity and clean water, upgrading roads, tackling poverty through wealth creation programs, and supporting education, churches, and other sectors. He urged residents to remain united, peaceful, and avoid divisive politics based on religion, tribe, or party affiliation, assuring them of victory in the upcoming NRM primaries. Kanungu Deputy RDC Ahimbisibwe Gad Rugaju warned those intending to cause conflicts during campaigns that they will face the law. He commended residents for supporting Hon. Baryomunsi as the right person to lobby government services for the community. Several local leaders, religious figures, and residents praised Hon. Baryomunsi for his development achievements, pledging their continued support.
