The teak nameplate on the back of the boat has become worn and weathered, so we’re going to restore the teak on this boat with teak oil from Star Brite. We’ll start by showing you how to sand the teak on a boat, and then we’ll apply varnish to the teak. During the application, we’ll brush it on with the grain of the wood, wait a couple of minutes, then wipe it off. Once we do that, we’ll let it sit overnight and repeat the process again to get the wood to the shade we’re looking for. Now we’re doing this process on the nameplate on our boat, but this process will be similar if you’re working to restore teak wood outdoor furniture as well.
