College Hill, Providence, RI J Life Mart Japanese Store Taste Test, Feed the Cheeks, Memorial Bridge

A Night in the College Hill neighborhood of Providence, RI The College Hill neighborhood of Providence, RI is very close to Brown University. The main reason that we went there is because Camilla and Josh wanted to try a particular restaurant. This restaurant had pretty poor accessibility, but because it was a small business I didn't vlog it. However, we were able to enjoy a few other places that had decent accessibility (aside from no powered doors). The first was J Life Mart which is a Japanese store that has snacks and other goodies. We gave a full tour and walk through of the store and even taste tested some Japanese Doritos. The flavor that I chose was spicy garlic which I have never seen anywhere else. You can watch to see what Josh, Camilla, and I rated these during our taste test on a scale from 1-10. After dining, we got dessert at Feed the Cheeks Cookie Cafe. This place had unique cookies and soft serve ice cream. The cookies here were huge - tune in to see how we rated them! After this, Camilla made a random stop at the Memorial Bridge. She had to film something for break dancing and she knew that this was a good location. You will not only be treated to her breakdancing, but a random throwback to the Ellen Degeneres show. It was nice to see that this bridge had great accessibility and reserved spots for wheelchair users. I am not too familiar with this bridge, but it appears that events happen here. I am not used to seeing reserved spots for wheelchairs in outdoor spaces, so this was great to see. The channel name is a play on the words Danielle + elevates, because this channel is all about elevating ideas about disability and rare disease through humor and adventures! Vlogs feature my adventures and include accessibility reviews. There will also be funny clips of awkward and true moments in the lives of people with disabilities and rare diseases. Since birth, I have had an extremely rare (technically undiagnosed) neuromuscular disease. Depending on how strenuous the adventure is, sometimes I use a scooter and sometimes I don’t - I simply strive to make all content as genuine as possible and to be a positive advocate for the disability and rare disease community.
