If the rear door on your Disco is jammed, here is how to open it, and potentially solve the problem. The latching mechanism might need replacing. In my case, I suspect that the car has been rear-ended at some point, or that the previous owner has reversed into something with the spare wheel, moving the latch components... Either way, somebody else has been there before. Please, don't ask why the boot floor is made out of wood. Since I bought it, I have not dared to look underneath.
