Composters are the perfect destination for organic materials consumed in our homes, because they avoid more trash to accumulate in landfills. LEARN HOW TO MAKE COMPOSTERS WITH PLASTIC BOTTLES HERE! ---------------------------------------------------- These can be made indoors or outdoors, because they do not attract animals and they don’t smell bad at all. Let 's get started! To compost using plastic bottles, you’ll need: A bottle of 1,5 or 2 liters A bottle of 0.6 liters Scissors Organic material (fruit and vegetables peels) - DO NOT use industrial products and meat Dry leaves Dirt Water 1. To begin, cut your 2 liters bottle just like it’s being shown in the video, well below the middle of it. 2. Make a hole on your bottle’s cap (you can do it with a heated knife or with some proper equipment) 3. Cut your other bottle right in the middle (we’ll use the bottom part, while the other one shall go to recycling) 4. Put your composter together in a way that the bottom of your 0.6 bottle is the support of the bigger bottle, which must be placed upside down. 5. Cut your organic material in pieces relatively small, because that makes the composting process a lot easier. 6. Organize the items in layers: add one layer of dry leaves, one of organic material, and one of dirt. Always, after finishing this process, press the layers with your hands to have a better use of your composter’s space. 7. Approximately, it will be possible to repeat this pattern 3 times. By the end, after adding the last layer of dirt, finalize with one layer of dry leaves, water the composter with a small amount of water, and close it. The composters must be stored in places safe from rain and excessive sunlight, and must be watered weekly. ----- Between 40 and 60 days after its production, the compost will be ready.
