Thought I would make a little video/tour of our 3 acre year 3 food food forest. We are still working towards permaculture. But we’ve got most of what we want to grow fruit wise in now. So next will come creating more ecosystems, and guilds. This past year we planted some onions under our fruit trees. It did seem to help a bit with animals trying to eat our small fresh planted trees. We also planted comfrey under one apple tree, and one peach tree last year. That has worked AMAZINGLY well to keep the weeds under control. We can chop and drop the leaves as side dressing for the trees. Also the roots of comfrey grow deep within the soil, and pull nutrients up to the leaves. So when your using the leaves as mulch. You have a nutrient packed instant mulch!
