The owner says: It is the oldest Jazz Pub in Germany! The "Em Pöötzke" in Dusseldorf's Old Town has been around for almost 70 years, with live music since 1966. Those who visit the "Longest bar in the world" will find a cheerful band here every evening, except on Sundays. The atmosphere is authentic, friendly and welcoming. Tourists are greeted cheerfully, during trade fairs many foreign guests come by. It is "Düsseldorfer Platt" and English spoken. The entrance is basically free. But only for air and love can nobody play a good gig: The musicians go around with a hand-forged cast pan and are happy about donations. The so-called "Heiermann" (5 Euros) is welcome. In addition, the band is always happy about a donated round of beer. This is celebrated accordingly.
