Feeling safe is key to all inner work and emotional healing. Unfortunately, we can't always just 'feel safe' on command. Even when in an environment that seems non-threatening from all logical reasoning, we may have embedded programs and past traumas that have demanded our bodies stay in a sense of alert, fight-or-flight mode. EFT (emotional freedom technique) tapping can be excellent for cultivating a sense of safety. There are the physical effects it has by tapping on meridian points, which are shown to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system similar to acupuncture. We will also do a spoken round here to address the internal resistances to feeling safe.
