Hey what’s up YouTube! Moments after I uploaded my e hero vid, I took this deck to locals, and despite running no hand traps and no side deck, I went x-1 and was undefeated my first three rounds of the event. For those who have seen the previous profile, This is a reupload of that same profile. I redid the profile with some commentary on my matchups and the day. I felt like it would be better served to have some discussion on real competitive matches as opposed to just my own theorycrafting as in the previous video. Below were my matchups: R1: Eldlich 2-0 Flare neos and air neos pulled heavy duty in this match in g1 and g2 with high atk power winning both games quickly. G1, flare with favorite hero and neos fusion in grave for protection got to 7200. That plus keeper of dragon magic was enough to take g1. Could not have gotten it done g2 without wrath of neos though. AHL into prisma into wrath, blew up the board, summoned air, boosted with favorite hero and took the game in one attack. R2: Dragon Link 2-0 G1, summoned Aqua neos boosted with neos fusion and favorite hero. Thanks to a bricked search off of chaos with 5 spells, i was able to luckily ride aqua neos to a win. G2, I Baited out hand traps with AHL and fusion deployment. After confirming he had no further outs, Won using glow neos’ effect to pop dragon ravine to attack directly over a borrelend. Dropped honest neos in the damage step for game. R3: Branded Albaz Despia 2-1 Won this one in time. G1, he set up his board. I baited with AHL into blazeman and grand neos’ bounce effect. Luckily, had enough materials to go cosmo neos, which locked down his board and prevented any activation of effects. Rainbow neos then wiped his monsters and he scooped. G2, he negated my wrath. I was able to make nebula neos, but when my four draws sucked and he was able to come back despite me banishing everything face down with nebula neos’ effect the turn before, I attempted to block with NEXT. After seeing my next draw, I scooped. G3 I locked down my field with rainbow. He misplayed and even admitted that his curiosity got the better of him, and was intrigued to see what my deck could do. He didn’t realize that neos fusion protects things in grave from destruction so had to employ an alternate strategy to get it off board. If the game continued he might have won, but I was ahead in life points when time was called so I got the match. R4: Marincess 0-2 I didn’t realize how good this deck had gotten. G1, he set up a big board with his field spell and steamrolled me with advantage. G2, he did pretty much the same thing. I made a rainbow neos this game, but he was happy to have everything shuffle back. All in all I don’t think I knew enough about this deck to counter it effectively, but he still was able to generate more resources than me and used those to get the win. All in all I was incredibly surprised and happy with how the deck performed. I built this deck primarily for consistency and fun, and to run all the old neos fusions. To think that I not only summoned every og fusion but Dark Neos, and those fusions helped me to win games, was a dream come true. I designed this deck to focus on consistency above almost everything else. Every card should be useful. It’s why I took out convert contact. There are times when my opponents bricked and I didn’t, and those were difference makers. Even without a side deck, hand traps, or any other non-anime cards, I was able to have a ton of success with this deck. I am truly looking forward to the stuff in power of the elements, and how the neos deck will evolve with it! *Undefeated until Round 4 at competitive locals (hence the X-1 classification for the day).
