Walking Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve

I'm sure if I lived in Fort Myers I'd be visiting this place often. Such a nice boardwalk stroll through a swamp. Cypress Trees and Ferns seem to go on forever. The little ponds are full of wood ducks, turtles, fish and anhinga. The larger lake had alligators and cormorants, as well as lots of other birds in the surrounding trees. Throughout my hike I paid close attention, walking slow in order to find any snakes or maybe woodpeckers. Was an easy day to find wildlife. A short trail I could go around as many times I wanted without getting bored. Heck, even the squirrels were putting on an upside down show.
