In Islam, every action begins with a good intention. When I was studying in Yemen, we were always told to make intentions before every. single. thing. we did. At first I found it redundant but guess what I discovered? Setting lofty intentions gives our actions purpose and direction. It helps us stay focused and motivated, knowing that our efforts are for a meaningful cause. 🕋 Routine → 5 daily prayers. We are blessed with the five daily prayers which provide a perfect skeleton for structure in your day. Use them to build habits and bring discipline to your day. ☀️ Wake early → Post-Fajr. Waking up for Fajr (the pre-dawn prayer) sets a positive tone for the day + it’s filled with blessings. This early start helps max out your productivity and growth. 📚 Learn → Seek knowledge. Islām encourages lifelong learning. Pursue knowledge in all areas to better yourself and understand the world. 📿 Meditate → Dhikr. Dhikr, the remembrance of Allāh, is our form of meditation. Include it in your day to develop mindfulness and peace. This includes phrases such as subhanallāh, alhamdulillāh, allāhu akbar. “Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allāh hearts are assured.” [13:28] 🕊️ Gratitude → Be thankful [14:7]. The qur’an teaches that expressing gratitude brings more blessings. Make it a habit to thank Allāh daily for His countless blessings. 🫒 Eat healthy → Prophetic foods. The Prophet’s ﷺ diet is a guide to healthy eating. Follow his ﷺ example to nourish your body and honor the trust Allāh has placed in you. 👟 Work out → Body is an amānah. Exercise is a way to honor the body Allāh has given you. Make regular physical activity a part of your routine. 🌲 Nature → Contemplate creation. Reflect on Allāh’s creation. Spend time in nature to deepen your connection with the world and with your Creator. You are capable of great things with faith as your guide. . . .
