Modern Java Course - Baseline Java 8 Lambda and Method References

In this installment of the course we make sure we're all on the same page. Which is Java 8. Do we all understand the core features of that release. We start with the biggest feature of Java 8: Lambdas. In the following videos we'll review the other important features of that release then dive into newer capabilities. Many developers learned Java at a job or in University. In those settings it might have been Java 6 or 7 at best. A lot has changed in Java since then. Its become a modern powerful platform with, fluid syntax, high performance and low overhead. In this course we'll go over the features of modern Java. We start by creating a baseline with Java 8 features. We then cover the features of Java releases up to version 21 and beyond. The course doesn't just cover the core Java API and VM. It goes into the deeper underlying concepts, all the way into Spring Boot, Kubernetes and using Java in a modern cloud environment.
