The Motorola RMU2040 series radio is a 2 watt 4 channel radio. This radio comes ready-to-use out-of-the-box. Factory settings include 2 active channels. To activate the additional channels, you have to program them. Watch our short video to learn how to activate additional channels on the Motorola RMU2040 two-way radios. 1a. Hold the PTT button and top Side Button 1b. At the same time, turn the radio 'on' 2. Click the PTT button until you get to 'Active Channels' 3. Click the Side button until you get to your desired amount of active channels 4. Click the PTT button to save your changes 5. Turn off the radio 6.
