Infiniti G37 headlight hack: Don't let dealers keep you in the dark! I just bought a 2013 G37 and discovered a frustrating secret about adjusting the headlights-- ONLY THE DEALER CAN DO IT. In my case, they were aimed too low, making night driving a challenge. After hours of research and trial-and-error, I cracked the code on how to fix this without a dealer visit. Save yourself some time and hassle with this simple hack. Behind the headlight assembly, there's a hidden 8mm nut covered by a white plastic cylinder. The kicker? Only Infiniti dealers have the "special" tool to remove it. But don't worry - I'll show you how to bypass this and adjust your headlights yourself. This worked for me: I used pliers to crush and remove the plastic cover, revealing the adjustment nut. With an 8mm socket wrench, you can now easily raise or lower your headlights. Remember, small adjustments go a long way! I put an 8mm socket on a swivel, then put an 8 inch extender on the swivel and that worked great for me. Pro tip: Skip the complicated measurements for alignment. Just park in front of your garage at night, turn on the lights, and adjust until they're even and at a good height. Drive around to fine-tune if needed. I hope this helps fellow G37 owners take control of their headlights. Don't let dealer-only "features" keep you from maintaining your car. Happy driving and stay safe out there! #auxbeam #tundra #diodedynamics #ford #gtrlighting CHAPTERS: 00:00 - How to Adjust Your Headlights 01:06 - Right Headlight Adjustment Tips 02:02 - Left Headlight Adjustment Techniques This method should be the same or similar for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 G37 sedans, as well as the 2015 Q40, and maybe the newer Q50 sedans.
