Inexpensive Table Saw UPGRADE - IMPROVE Your Rip Cuts / Blade Dampener / Blade Stiffener - SBW#51

With this inexpensive table saw upgrade you can improve your rip cuts to get close to a buttery smooth surface. After I added a blade dampener also sometimes called a blade stiffener, the teeth marks from the blade on my rip cuts greatly diminished. What does a blade dampener/stiffener do? It reduces blade vibration as well as ensuring the blade stays flat and stiff. This allows the blade to spin without wobbling and allows for a much cleaner cut. The in the video I show how quick and easy it is to add the simple upgrade to your table saw rip a short 2x4 board through. The initial pass on the board shows the cut without the stiffener and the second cut shows how smooth the surface is. You'll also notice that this rip cut essentially cut a 1/32" thick veneer out of construction grade pine thin enough to see my finger shadows when placed in front of a light. It takes no time hardly to add 1 or 2 stiffener discs to your blade. If you're only going to use 1 I would recommend putting it on the nut side. If you're going to use 2, you should sandwich the board between them and adjust your rip fence for the thickness offset of the disc on the non-nut side of the arbor.
