On November 17th, 2022 the Hollywood Museum celebrated the 50th anniversary of The Waltons. This special event included a historic Q&A with several cast members and a new exhibit with artifacts from the show. The Q&A was moderated by film historian Leonard Maltin. All surviving cast members were there in person except for Jon Walmsley, Mary Beth McDonough and David Harper. Jon Walmsley (Jason Walton) connected via Zoom. Unfortunately, there was a bad internet connection and his monitor was blocked. Mary Beth McDonough (Erin Walton) sent in a video that is not included. She told the story of how the wardrobe department couldn’t find the right dress for her character's wedding on the show. She ended up wearing her mother's wedding dress, after suggesting it. For Mary Beth, that made it special. The dress is in the exhibit and can be seen in this video. David Harper (Jim-Bob Walton) was advertised to be there via video, but there was a technical issue. There were many actors from the 1970’s in the audience including Christopher Knight (Peter Brady), Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady) and Anson Williams (Potsie Weber).
