Entering Paraguay | By Motorcycle From Brazil | Ciudad Del Este, Paraguay |

Crossing the border from Brazil to enter Paraguay at Ciudad Del Este was a somewhat chaotic experience. I was told to use the "Moto" lane, but on this lane there is nowhere to stop! It just funnels you past immigration without stopping, puts you onto the international bridge and into Paraguay! Once I realized I had "exited" Brazil without any stamps or anything, I turned around to "re-enter", without having actually left. The wonderful Brazilian border people took pity on me and made it as easy as possible to get back turned around. But it is just. pure chaos, motorbikes flying everywhere, crashing into each other trying to be the fist in line. As I was crossing the bridge (following other motos) I had another motorcyclist run almost straight into me. This was probably partly my fault as I was very far to the left, but I was just following other riders as it was all so confusing! I had thought I was immune and used to the chaos of both LATAM border crossing and traffic, but this hour or so made me feel like it was my first day all over again haha! Once crossed I wanted to escape the city of Ciudad Del Este as I had heard lots of bad things. After one of the hottest days I've had I ended up in Asuncion, Paraguay. This city was a surprise as it was quite nice and liveable, if not really a place with many activities for tourists.
