8月10日、大阪・関西万博の平和と人権テーマウィークにあわせて行われた、国連パビリオン×ピースボートの共催レセプション、「TIME FOR PEACE」。 本レセプションは、国際NGOピースボートの使用客船「パシフィック・ワールド号」船上で開催され、平和や人間の安全保障の推進に取り組む国内外の関係者が一堂に会し、対話と連携を深める国際的な交流の場となりました( https://peaceboat.org/51520.html )。 船上では、ピースボートとノーベル平和センターが提携し、2024年のノーベル平和賞受賞団体である日本被団協の活動を紹介するノーベル平和賞洋上特別展「A Message to Humanity」の常設スペースをつくり、写真家集団マグナム・フォト所属のアントワン・ダガタ氏が撮影した被爆者の写真をはじめとした展示を、訪れる世界各地の人々に広めています。 今回、JO1も本レセプションでパフォーマンスを披露した他、船上にて展示されている、ノーベル平和賞洋上特別展「A Message to Humanity」を鑑賞した後、被団協・代表委員の田中熙巳さんとJO1の皆さんとの対話の時間が設けられました。 On August 10, Peace Boat and the UN Pavilion at Expo2025 Osaka Kansai co-hosted the Reception: TIME FOR PEACE onboard the Pacific World, Peace Boat’s passenger ship. Part of the Peace, Human Security, and Dignity Theme Week at the Expo, the event served as a unique platform for dialogue and exchange among global stakeholders dedicated to promoting peace, human security and dignity (https://peaceboat.org/english/news/ti.... Peace Boat and the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway have partnered to create a permanent space for an outreach edition of the Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition "A Message to Humanity," which shares the work of Nihon Hidankyo, 2024 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. This exhibition, featuring photographs of Hibakusha (atomic bomb survivors) taken by Magnum photographer Antoine D'Agata, is being carried to global audiences through Peace Boat’s voyages, reaching communities that might not otherwise have access to such initiatives and amplifying the voices of the Hibakusha. The internationally acclaimed Japanese group JO1 performed at this reception. Following this, they viewed the Nobel Peace Prize exhibition "A Message to Humanity" onboard, after which they joined a dialogue session together with Tanaka Terumi, Co-Chair of Nihon Hidankyo, himself a survivor of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki and fellow speaker at the event. #ピースボート #peaceboat #timeforpeace #jo1 #日本被団協
