Palermo's airport, on the Italian island of Sicily, was forced to shut for a few hours on Tuesday morning as firefighters battled a blaze at its perimeter. Fires were visible from residential buildings in the city of Palermo in a video shared on social media. Firefighters said 30 teams were also fighting blazes in Sicily's eastern city of Messina.
