On our way back from the Snow Monkey Park the other day, we stayed at a ryokan (Japanese inn) in Andai Onsen (hot spring). Video of Snow Monkey Park    • Wild monkeys bathing in the hot sprin...   We were not sure whether to stay at a hotel near Nagano Station or Matsumoto Station, but since some days the monkeys do not come to the Snow Monkey Park, we chose a nearby ryokan so that we could go there again right away the next day if they did not come. We were very satisfied with the two large baths, lots of Manga, and delicious food. We also went a little further afield to visit Shibu Onsen, and visited a Kanaguya that is said to be one of the models for the oil store in Spirited Away.
