Wildlife Tiger Speed Painting With Derwent Lightfast and Caran Dache Luminance. Occasionally when I finish a review I like to draw something just for me using whatever art supplies I like, on this occasion I really wanted to draw a Tiger, in fact I drew a Tiger about two years ago and it was terrible and I have been daring myself to try it again for the past two years. Nevertheless I bit the bullet and this was my result. I couldn't select which pencils I was going to use so I thought why not use the Derwent Lightfast and Caran d'Ache Luminance together and see how things play out and final piece aside, I can tell you that both these pencils work together as if both companies planned a secret meeting to make sure they worked well together. I created this drawing on Fabriano Artistico Extra White 140lb Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper, this is not my normal goto paper however I watched an amazing artist use this paper and so I wanted to try a replicate his greatness. I have added a page to The Art Gear Guide with still images of the art work at various stages of completion if you are interested. I have also decided to create a voiceover tutorial with this drawing. I plan to have it available in the next few days, however as soon as I am ready to upload it I will of course let you all know. I have been asked many times to create tutorials and whilst I know this is probably not the best tutorial to start with, I hadn't actually started out with the plan to make this a tutorial. That being said as the drawing progressed I felt that it would be good to have regardless. I will of course be adding more tutorials all of varying difficulties. I also have to apologise for the beginning of the speed drawing I forgot to press record on my video recorder, or at least I thought I had pressed it.
