Sometimes the look of your RC machine can get… well, a little tired. If your vehicle has lighter color plastic parts, you may be able to dye them and give your machine a cool new look. In this how to, we’re going to show you just how easy it is to take a grey Traxxas Stampede 4x4 chassis and dye it black using fabric dye. Dye’s can be used on other lighter color parts too, to change the color such as blue, red or green. As with any customization, you should always be safe, expecially near a stove or boiling water and you should also keep an eye on the plastics. Since you are boiling the plastics, there is the possibility they can warp. But overall, this is a quick and simple task and there are a few other things to think about when dying parts, so take a look at this video before you start dipping your parts in a vat of boiling water.
