22 Hornet, 53 grain Hornady V-Max handloads

In this video, I shoot Hornady's 53-grain V-Max with my single-shot CBC 22 Hornet at a target 100 metres away. This was the first rifle I bought in 1990. You can hear the bullet meeting the steel target. Also, notice the velocities on the Garmin. Rounds 1, 3, and 8 were under 2200 fps, while the rest were between 2269 and 2291 fps. The most likely reason for the difference in velocities could be the brass. I prefer S&B or Winchester brass, but PPU brass often sneaks into the reloading process, and these tend to shoot at lower velocities.
