If we want humanity to flourish, we need to reconsider the relationship between technology and geopolitics. Tom shares his research and thoughts on the future of AI, including whether or not we should be scared of it. Tom is an AI Policy Consultant at Oxford Insights, where he works with government departments worldwide to help them understand how they can make the most of emerging technologies. He studied PPE at Warwick, graduating in 2020. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
