Love is on our Side! - (My Hubby's Original Song). Rejoicing & singing this song into 2024! Part 1.

Psalm 98: 4-6. I awoke on New Years Day with this scripture on my heart, I smiled as I realised that's exactly how we've entered 2024! Making a joyful noise unto The Lord and declaring that 'Love is on our Side'! My Hubby Mark wrote this song over a decade ago and the original version is on his channel @ MarkThatssound. Knowing Mark over the years I have heard most of his songs. This particular song has always stood out to me and so I asked him if he would like me to sing backing vocals on his song as I feel it holds a message. I sang quiet vocals as I feel that this being Mark's song, it was best he sang it. I felt/feel that the song now over a decade old needed a fresh breath of life breathed into it. After some practice together this song became our song to enter the New Year with! Mark played his 12 string guitar and I picked up the tambourine! When I asked him where his inspiration had come from to write this song, he replied "John 1 verse 16. When I listened to the whole of the song, it was verse 2 that really stood out to me, it almost feels like an anthem, a statement that we WILL reach where we are meant to be! I decided to sing by myself this verse just acapella and let the vocals ring out, and so I decided to add it to the video. Sometimes I feel just vocals stripped back are just needed. God has a perfect plan for us, each plan is unique & the verse from Jeremiah reminds us, Jeremiah 29:11. God knows the plans he has and even though we can wander and get distracted his perfect plan is always there! When we do wander, I've found there's always that still inner voice waiting and whispering. The Holy Spirit, He is with us. Love is on our Side, this is very true, God is Love! We have just begun this year and for me, I feel like there's a shifting taking place. We can't see ahead, but God can. What ever lies ahead my prayer is we hear the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly and keep to the right path. That we follow love, hear love and with the strength from God we will overcome and be in the Father's will. Jeremiah reminds us that God has a plan.
