Red Arrow is a mainstay to Nottingham and Derby since 1995, where its coaches ran hourly between the two cities for its first two years before doubling in frequency to every 30 minutes and introducing extensions into Chesterfield every hour in 1997. The popularity couldn't get any better than this in 2004 as the frequency doubled again to every 15 minutes with 8 new coaches in March of that year. However, 2008 and 2010 were Red Arrow's biggest changes: 2008 saw the announcement of brand new i4 coaches, while July 2010 saw the biggest change in frequency yet... a coach every 10 minutes between Nottingham and Derby. As of today, the Red Arrow continues to go from strength to strength, carrying millions of passengers per year, although its Derby to Chesterfield route has since been replaced by The Comet in October 2015, which now runs to its initial frequency of every hour due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
