But if they want to catch a wahoo, they normally have to sail almost two hours offshore to find deep enough water… Well, we're lucky here. They swim right along the coast. IF they’re around, that is! For four hours we tried everything I had on board, and even the small tuna tubbies didn’t show up. Oh no, I shouldn’t lie… we had two strikes — and missed both! At the end of the trip, out of pure frustration, I had the guys troll over the bank once more and quickly throw out the small squids. And yes, man… a lost little tuna tubbie! Of course, I already knew what would happen next (figuratively — the sun was shining beautifully!). I really should stop going after tubbies in those last minutes… but it’s just too much fun, man!
