The SV240 is a very intriguing filter at a low price, and allows us to make use of the Near Infrared spectrum - that opens up some cool use cases, but has limitations! Also, note that refractors will be less good than Newtonians at focusing IR light, leading to more bloated stars/halos with this filter (thanks to everyone in the comments for pointing it out!). Some report it as almost unusable with refractors!!! It also seems to depend on the glass type and coatings... So please be careful if you use a refractor!!
