Testing Hornady shotgun coyote loads - Hornady Heavy Magnum Coyote. Darren and Billy get some new coyote shotgun shells to test on the firing range. On this day we shoot 3 different shotguns and 5 different choke constrictions. The shotguns used are the Winchester SXP, Winchester 1300 and Mossberg 835. Chokes range from light modified, modified, improved modified, Primos Jelly Head and Truglo Strut Stopper Extreme. Distance of the pattern test is about 40 yards. The Hornady Heavy Magnum Coyote loads call for improved cylinder or modified chokes but the pattern test revealed that in some shotgun a little tighter choke can produce some better patterns. Overall the Hornady Heavy Magnum Coyote shotgun shells performed great for the money, which is very reasonable.
