Thank you for watching! We hope you like the video and consider subscribing! In this video we are back working on our 1969 dodge charger... Well, kinda... We are actually working on the motor we are going to be putting in the Charger. We got a 1968 dodge 318 from a scrap yard, and it needs some freshening up. It was claimed the motor ran when it was pulled, but it had to have been sitting a long time to get as crusty as it was. The heads and valves were all cleaned up and all the gasket surfaces were decked. When we say Decked, we don't mean with professional tools and equipment, we mean a diy decking with sanding blocks and a wire wheel. Everything turned out pretty good and it went back together nicely. The stock exhaust manifolds looked great in some fresh black against the orange engine block, and when it fired up, it sounded fantastic. These engines were a reliable engine back in the day known for their longevity. Hopefully with out overhaul it can last a long time and provide some fun! Thanks again for watching!
