His research focus on human brain and cognition and ways to improve them. He conducts research on the psychological and biological factors that shape learning and cognitive achievement, numerical cognition, synaesthesia, and time perception. For his pioneer work he has received prestigious awards in the fields of neuroscience and psychology.
