Keeping it Local on the Dundas Sub in London

It was a morning for catching CN local trains. Martin was out bright and early to catch whatever he could at Rectory Street in London. His morning started off with CN L509 pulling out of the yard in London for its first leg of the trip to Sarnia, Ontario and back. It was hauling 114 cars of mixed freight and took almost 10 minutes to pass. While some of you may have liked the slow roll past his camera to take a closer look at the various types of freight cars, I edited the clip down a bit to show the highlights. Right behind 509 was another local, this time it was L501, running from Sarnia to the interchange with Southern Ontario Railway in Garnet, Ontario. L501 was moving at a better pace, probably because it was only hauling 32 tank cars. Unfortunately, the train managed to eclipse VIA 70, which had been holding at the station while L509 rolled westwards. The last catch of the morning was L502, reversing direction on L501 and running from Sarnia to Garnet. This train had one flatcar tucked in behind the lashup, followed by a string of 27 tank cars.
