Powroźnik is a Ruthenian village located in the vicinity of Muszyna, which was inhabited by the Lemko people, and now by highlanders. The village is famous for the church of St. Jakub the Younger Apostle, inscribed in 2013 on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Orthodox Church of St. James is a three-section church built in the Lemko style. A bell from 1615 has been preserved in the tower. The polychromes date back to 1607 and inside you can admire the eighteenth-century iconostasis. The area of the temple is surrounded by a stone wall with 20th-century carvings of saints.
