It's really common to struggle with getting the shadow colours of yellows right. You can't just darken them, you lose too much chroma (colour intensity) and the end up murky green. Nasty! In fact, you need to mix a whole new colour from scratch for the shadow, using different tube paints. So let's have a look at what tube paints will let you mix shadow colours for yellows that actually look right - along with the lights. The app I use to investigate the colour is called ChromaMagic. You can find it on the Apple and Google Play stores, and there is also a Windows version. It's very inexpensive and extremely useful!
