French Camp has 86 campsites and is located in the Rock Creek area midway between Bishop and Mammoth Lakesin the Inyo National Forest. The campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (small to medium). Some are located close to Rock Creek, these include sites 73-84. A few sites will accommodate large RVs, but most are good for small to medium sizes trailers/RVs. There are no hookups available, but each campsite has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill. Our favorite French Camp campsites are 18, 22, 32, 37, 41, 43, 44, 46, 53, 55, 59, 60, 64, 65, 68, 73, 75, 78 and 81. Campground amenities include potable/drinking water, flush toilets and an RV dump station. Firewood is available for sale from the camp host, or at nearby Tom’s Place where you can get additional supplies and showers (for a fee).
