In this video we fly in to Zurich airport in Switzerland, hire a car and travel to our first dormitory accommodation for the night. It is also very possible to take a backpacking tent for camping, as we came across a few camping areas which was pretty interesting. We didn't stop long at our dormitory accommodation as we needed to travel early to our set destination for the day, 'Grindelwald, and to visit Grindelwald town, go up in a cable car to see Grindelwald First cliff walk, also it was our intention to come back down by zipwire, however, that didn't quite work out due to a 2 hour queue, also it was only around 3 minutes ride, and also very expensive so we gave it a miss. We absolutely enjoyed our visit to this location, it was more than worth the visit of seeing and experiencing this fabulous adventure. The summit has breathtaking views of the north face of the Eiger and wonderful hikes. Lasting around two hours, the leisurely hike to the Bachalpsee lake is a must for anyone visiting the First area. The snow-capped Alpine peaks are reflected in the crystal-clear emerald blue water. Grindelwald Switzerland in summer is the perfect location for a trip and an ideal base for exciting activities. It's very accessible by car and train, and has many rail and cable car links on into the Alps. It has a wonderful atmosphere. While strolling through this village with its traditional wooden houses, you’ll feel the presence of the Eiger wherever you go: as many of the village’s hotels, restaurants and cafés are named after the famous mountain. And this should come as no surprise, since the backdrop of the Swiss Alps really is quite spectacular here.
