We filmed this inside an Evangelical-Baptist ეკლესია in Tbilisi. This isn’t a space where music is a stranger; the church has a long history of opening its doors to musicians and creative projects, treating sound as a natural part of its life. Ikigai, the project of Nika Tsinaridze, didn’t come with a script. Over the last three years, Nika has leaned into a style that relies on how the room feels in the moment. There’s no rigid planning here, just a reaction to the atmosphere. The sound stays deep, sitting somewhere between hypnotic and dub techno. In a place built for reflection, these rhythms lose their club context and turn into a steady, focused crawl.
