In this video we see a split earlobe repair performed by Mr Adrian Richards and then hear from the patient afterwards. For more information on earlobe repair, bot split or stretched (tribal) please go to http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk/face-... So that's that bit done, we have taken the split away, that was very quick wasn't it! I'm just going to do some internal stitches here just to give it a bit of support, so what are internal stitches? They are the ones you can't see. And the other ones are the ones that melt? So you can't see those, because basically the idea is the skin itself shouldn't have any tension on it. This little stitch you will notice when you take the dressing off, it is a little tiny dissolvable stitch and it will come away on its own. You can't re-pierce it until about 3 months, ok cool. and you cant get it wet for a certain amount of time? Leave it 24 hours before you wash your hair, just leave it 24 hours because the dressing is fairly stayed on by then it is quite secure. So just tell us how the whole procedure was. It was really really completely painless really fast yeah it was really interesting, I like the idea that I can actually watch the footage of it afterwards, everything was explained to me along the way, I kind of knew what to expect, I was amazed at how quick it was. oh that's good, so now we are going to let you have a look at the ear, so have a look, open your eyes, so It is a little bit swollen, wow! You can see it has got, you can have a look, as close as you want That's amazing! but not touch it wow! so you can see it's got little baby stitches. Yeah! so neat. They are the size of a hair. Yeah are they really? yeah they are that thin. Actually when you sew up sometimes they look like a hair so you can get confused. zuffbloss
