BEMM RIVER 2025 Hobie Fishing Australia Round 2

This was my first time visiting the Bemm River in Victoria. I had heard so much about this place so it was great to finally get down and see for myself. The Bemm River is approximately a 7/8 hour drive from Sydney and I arrived on the Thursday afternoon so that I could do a pre fish before the comp starting on Saturday. On this trip I had my Hobie Outback and it was great especially when the wind picked up and turned the water to chop. I caught load of smaller fish and a few nicer size fish in the 34 tip size over the three days and it was great to explore this waterway. My comp results saw me way down the field but I was happy to catch my 3 fish each day for a full bag. The event had 111 anglers take part which was huge and I had a cracking time. Some of the bags landed by the competitors was unreal with like 2.7kg of fish each day. Joel Crosby took out the event which was great and he is a local from Victoria. I would love to spend some more time on the system but this may not be again until the 2026 round. I used a lot of different lures and techniques over the three days and leant a lot from the experience. The little township and Pub were awesome and it was a great way to spend a few days.
