STEEL PULSE - 2007-02-27 - Showbox Nightclub - Seattle, Wa. - "Soundboard" I've known these guys for a long time and still Selwyn let's me know when he's coming through and has me on the guestlist everytime so we can catch up. I saw this show the day after in Portland, Or. and took my Daughter and Son In Law to see it on her 20 Birthday. Selwyn signed the poster for her for me. The images are included above. These guys are my favorite Reggae band and always have been since I first heard their first album there in Seattle with my friend Alex Johnson a record store manager who called me and said you have to come over and listen to this!! You think Bob Marley is Irie wait till you hear this! so I went right over joints rolled and we listened to that twice in a row that night and were amazed. This time period was right between the times Bob Marley played Paramount Northwest. This band was the reason I moved to to San Francisco along with Grateful Dead. After I moved there they played their first show on the west coast USA at The Stome a beer bar on Broadway on 1982-03-25:    • STEEL PULSE 1982-03-25 The Stone San Franc...   When they came through Seattle about 10 years ago now they had a day off so visited EMP, and Pike Street Market where Selwyn caught some fish. LOL!! The also visited the "Jimi Hendrix Memorial" and some of those pics are here to they all said they really felt his Spirit there! In 2017 I took my Goddaughter Misty Fourez and her friend to see "Steel Pulse" and in the middle of the show she told me it was her friends first concert ever to see anyone and she was beaming!! They didn't know it but I had it planned with Selwyn Brown for them to meet after the show and immediately thought this is going to blow Selwyn' mind when he finds out and all I could think about was that fact. So when the concert was over I took them to a private part of the venue and asked them to wait there as I used the bathroom. So went around the corner and went backstage to get Selwyn.
