How to prepare for Marriage as a couple. Tips and advice for marriage. What's poppin! Welcome to Chat with Charli. I share my life experience to help black millennials go from frustrated to flourishing in relationships, personal growth, and parenthood! Today I'm going to share with you 5 things that you should do (whether you're a man or woman) to prepare for marriage like a BOSS. Nothing that I do is ordinary or standard. So, if I'm going to give y'all advice on preparing for marriage, we gon do it like BOSSES! Let's learn: (1) Talk to other married couples. The information and life lessons that you will learn is going to bring so much value to you and bae (2) Learn your financial investment style. If two experienced investors come together in a marriage, that is a combination for success. So learn which investments you like best, and start becoming an expert (3) Figure out your job/career path now. This can sometimes take years to nail down. It's better to have this figured out before you get married (4) Go to counseling. Your personal growth journey should not end when you get married. Also, your spouse is not responsible for your happiness. Please go to counseling and begin working on the issues in your soul, so that you can be prepared to love and trust in your marriage (5) Babysit for family members and friends (especially if you don't have experience with children). If you plan on being a parent, then you should plan on having experience with children. You can really be a blessing to the people around you while also learning and growing yourself. Preparing for marriage like a boss is much more simple than most people think. But, it's also more difficult.
