My CURSE STRIKES AGAIN! Expensive Disaster for My Ford GT

I can't believe this has happened AGAIN, and this time it's going to be expensive. We're taking my Ford GT and Mustang Dark Horse to visit the phenomenal Shelby American Collection in Boulder, Colorado, but first up is finding out how much this repair is going to cost. And, it's not good news! After venturing up from Texas, via a stop with ‪@HooviesGarage‬ in Kansas, we ventured over with the cars to Denver, ready for some fun in Colorado, and first up a visit to a place I have been keen to visit for a long time - the Shelby American Collection. Home to the only surviving GT40 Prototypes, the winningest Shelby Daytona Coupe, numerous ex-Ken Miles cars, Carrol Shelby's original Cobra and more; it's dreamland! However, our first stop is at Sil-TerHar Ford, where I promptly find out that it's $3,300 for the glass with sales tax, plus installation labour, plus one-time use parts, the final bill actually goes through $5,000. The only 'funny' side of it, is that I fully intended to get some protection on the glass beforehand, but due to really bad weather, we had to change plans and unfortunately didn't have time to do so - sometimes it's just bad luck. As a Ford guy, and somebody rather obsessed with the GT story, and what lead us to today, the amount of history under one roof at the Shelby American Collection is beyond belief. However, after we get back on the road, we're heading to visit another awesome private car collection in the area. Featuring the likes of the F40, Carrera GT, Diablo, Speciale, and some very nice Porsches to round out the garage.
