Healing doesn’t just happen in hospitals. By using supplies from first-aid kits, we can often care for each other right at home. As you create your own medical bag, you’ll learn about the items usually found in first-aid kits and think even bigger to include items for sensory kits. Share your creation to social media and tag us at #MHSlearn. Materials you will need: Container for medical supplies (such as a paper bag with handles, an old purse, lunchbox, plastic box, shoebox—anything that has a lid or can close will work) Black, white, and red construction paper (a red marker or crayon will work in place of red paper) Scissors Glue Various first-aid items (such as Band-Aids, gauze, cotton balls, tongue depressors, alcohol pads, tweezers, a real or pretend thermometer, hand sanitizer, masks, gloves) Optional sensory items (such as a stress ball, empty small plastic bottles or tubes, felt, pipe cleaners, markers, or any other materials to make pretend medical tools for younger kids) Check out our other activities here: https://mohistory.org/events/homescho...
