At the SOGHIN 2025 Conference, held at University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, renowned expert Prof. Amrita Sethi shared her review of the Fujifilm Endoscope machine following an EUS procedure for a patient with obstructive jaundice and concerns for malignancy. She noted that the Fujifilm EUS scope and processor functioned just like the ones she was already familiar with. The scope offered easy passage through the oral pharynx, excellent endoscopic vision, and clear pancreatic imaging that revealed a mass causing obstruction in both the bile duct and pancreatic duct. She also praised the keyboard design and emphasized that the system is well-suited for fine needle aspiration (FNA). The Uni-medical team, led by Emmanuel Bassey, Segment Manager – Endoscopy, was present to support and demonstrate the equipment's functionality. In a case where tumor markers were negative but clinical suspicion remained high, clarity made all the difference.
