Animated Ancient Greek Vase with Aulos (Double Pipe) Solo

A collaboration between the Aulos Collective and the Universität Würzburg. The music is played on the Louvre Aulos, and is an original composition by Callum Armstrong called ´Satyrs´. The piece uses chromatic shifts similar to the ones found in the ´Athenaios Paean´ and also demonstrates the possibilities of the aulos to overblow. The animation by André Mischke, is based on the C6th B.C. pot of the Seilenoi (Eldery Satyrs) making wine.
