Highlights | ACSA 9th National Organic Agriculture Innovation & Research Symposium 2025

ACSA organized its 9th Annual Symposium from 29th–30th October 2025 at Silver Springs Hotel, Bugolobi, under the theme: “Accelerating Research and Innovations in Regenerative/Organic Agriculture and Renewable Energy for Resilient Food Systems among Smallholder Farmers.” This annual symposium brought together policymakers from MAAIF and MEMD, researchers, civil society organizations, farmers, and other stakeholders to share knowledge and innovations that advance sustainable and resilient food systems in Uganda. The overall objective of the 9th symposium was to showcase, disseminate, and accelerate the adoption of integrated Sustainable Organic Agriculture/RA–PURE innovations to build resilient food systems among smallholder farmers in Uganda. The symposium also featured the unveiling of AgroRid, an organic pesticide innovation proven effective in managing thrips and whitefly infestations.
