Martin Cate of Smuggler’s Cove fame one day realized that he had put the wrong ingredients in the cocktail he was making, the customer insisted he wanted to try it anyway and it turned out it was indeed quite tasty. So he named it a ”Max’s Mistake” (apparently his mother calls him Max) and it’s been on the menu ever since. With both lemon, passion fruit and the lemonade it is a tart little number, but the honey and the gin balances that out beautifully! A must try in my own humble opinion. INGREDIENTS 30 ml Lemon Juice 15 ml Honey Syrup 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters 30 ml Passion Fruit Syrup 60 ml London Dry Gin (I used Tanqueray) 60 ml Fentimans Victorian Lemonade
