Today I went up the mountain to harvest nearly 100kg of ripe, bright red and juicy cherries. Each cherry has been nurtured through the sun, rain and wind for many months – and this is the most beautiful moment of the season. After harvesting a full basket, I brought the cherries back to the village, preparing a warm meal for my family: traditional dishes, fresh ingredients from nature, and the rustic flavors of country life.
