A 3D reconstruction of the collision between George Russell and Valtteri Bottas at the Formula 1 2021 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, Italy. Including realistic new onboards and slow motion replays. Enjoy the crashalong! Who did you blame after you saw Bottas & Russell collide at Imola? I wanted to see it from top view and was curious if the Russell's tyre could have slipped over the cockpit without halo. So directly after the incident, I analysed all available footage and made this animation in Blender. Based on the onboards of Kimi Raikkonen and Russel, I could accurately place the cars just before the collision, the determine how much space there was.
