A short phonics lesson video for Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 children learning to read and write words using the 'ch' digraph. A digraph is two letters that together make one sound. A UK based teacher talks children through how to recognise the 'ch' digraph using a handwritten sound card. Children are then encouraged to join in with saying words with the 'ch' sound (chips, chin and chop.) The teacher then demonstrates how to write a word (chop) by segmenting the sounds on fingers to hear and write each sound in turn to build the word. Children are then encouraged to blend the sounds together to read the written word (chop.) The video is designed to support children learning in the classroom or remotely learning at home to find other words that have the 'ch' sound in order to read and write words independently. 🟡 Set 1 sounds playlist • Set 1 Sounds Phonic Lessons For Recep... 🟡 For more set 2 sounds click my playlist below • Set 2 Sounds Phonic Lessons and Sound... 🟡 For more set 3 sounds click the playlist below • Set 3 Sounds Phonic Lessons and Sound... #earlyyearslearningisfun
